The deadline for submission of responses to consultation paper 12 on the Legal Services Act was 8 December 2008.
A paper dealing with the matters addressed in this consultation was considered by the SRA Board on 26 February 2009.

We are seeking views on our proposals in relation to the fees we will charge firms (recognised bodies and recognised sole practitioners) in 2009. This consultation does not deal with the practising certificate fee.
We are also seeking views on proposals in relation to the compensation fund contribution to be paid by recognised bodies.
The consultation paper proposes some additional regulatory fees which will be at a flat rate, but comparatively low, for a transitional period.
Please let us know if you agree or disagree with the SRA proposals in relation to fees to be charged transitionally in 2009.
