Admission dates

Your admission date can be any date, within 30 days, after we have made a decision about your application.

We usually assess admission applications within 30 days.

We will only admit you when we are satisfied that you have met Regulation 5.1 of the Authorisation of Individuals Regulations.

Choosing your admission date

• Make sure you meet our requirements for your chosen route.
• If you are applying under the Legal Practice Course route it must be on or after the end date of your period of recognised training.
• You can apply up to eight weeks before your preferred admission date.

When choosing your admission date allow extra time if you:

• Disclose any character and suitability issues as this can take up to six months.
• Need qualifying work experience to be confirmed.
• Need a criminal record check outside of the UK.
